JAIPUR City in the state of Rajasthan, is the first planned City in India built by Sawai Jai Singh. It is the largest City in Rajasthan State. It is one of the famous tourist destinations among Indian as well as tourists from other parts of the World. This royal city is well known for its Arts, Temples, Forts, Havelis, Palaces, Culture and Tradition. AMER FORT is well known for its ancient Indian architecture. It is built with red and white sandstone. Unique structure and architectural series of gates are present in this Fort. Places to visit inside Amer Fort are Hall of Public Audience, Sukh Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Kesar Kyaari and Light Show. Hall of Public Audience is also known as Diwan E Aam. Two rows of pillars supports this hall and those pillars are decorated with ornaments. Hall has an entrance from three sides. In ancient times, the King listens to the queries of his subjects by sitting in this Hall. Located just opposite to the hall is Sukh Mandir also known as Sudh Niwass. This Niwass is well known for its sandalwood and ivory works. Its named as mandir, but actually there is no temple and it is not a religious place. Earlier Kings and Queens used to relax in this hall. The most amazing spot of Amer Fort is Sheesh Mahal or The Mirror Palace. The garden located in front of this Fort is called Mughal Gardens or Kesar Kyaari. Kesar Kyaari is a star shaped garden. Highlight of this place is the Light Show that focuses on the ancient history of this capital city in English as well as Hindi for about 50 minutes. Important activity inside is the Elephant Ride which ends by afternoon. Never miss to see this place after sunset as it will glitter with full lighting's surrounding the entire fort. 

HAWA MAHAL is a Hindi word and it literally means ''The Palace of Winds''. This mahal was built in the year 1799 by King Sawai Pratap Singh (also a poet), for him and his family to stay during summer. During those days, Royal Household ladies stay in this Hawa Mahal so that no one can see them what they do in their day-to-day life. Architecture of this building is a mixture of Hindu as well as Islamic style with five storey structure. The Lattice Windows also known as ''Jharokhas'' of this mahal resembles the "Crown of Lord Krishna". These Jharokhas keeps the room cool like an air conditioner. It is one of the iconic landmarks of this beautiful destination. Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and other buildings forms "THE CITY PALACE" Complex which is located in the heart of this city. Sawai Jai Sing II built this palace between 1729 AD and 1732 AD. Architecture of this palace takes us back to Rajput and Mughal period. This palace includes various structures like Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Pritam Niwas Chowk, Diwan I Khas, Diwan E Khas, Maharani Palace, Bhaggi Khani and Govind Dev Ji Temple. Murals, Lattice and Mirrors are seen in the walls and gates of this palace. It was built using Red and Pink Sand Stone. The gate located in the entrance of the City Palace is known as Tripoliya Gate. 

UNESCO World Heritage Site ''THE JANTAR MANTAR'' is a famous Astronomical Observatory. It is one of the 5 observatories constructed by Maharajah Sawai Jai Singh II between 1724 AD and 1730 AD. 19 Instruments are there in Jantar Mantar for Measuring Time, To Predict Eclipses, to track the Major Stars Location, to track Earth Orbits around the Sun, Ascertaining Planets and to determine the Celestial Altitudes and related Ephemerides. The 19 instruments are Chakra Yantra, Dakshin Bhitti Yantra, Digamsha Yantra, Disha Yantra, Dhruva Darshak Pattika, Jai Prakash Yantra, Kapali  Yantra, Kanali  Yantra, Kranti Vritta  Yantra, Laghu Samrat  Yantra, Misra Yantra, Nadi Valaya Yantra, Palbha Yantra, Rama Yantra, Rashi Valaya Yantra, Shastansh Yantra, Unnatasha Yantra, Vrihat Samrat Yantra and Yantra Raj Yantra. 

JAIGARH FORT is situated on ''Cheel Ka Teela'' or ''Hills of Eagles'', Cape of the Aravali Hill Range. Jaigarh Fort was erected in the year 1726 by Jai Singh II and the main purpose behind the erection of this fort was to protect Amber Fort which stands 400 Meters below this Fort. It is also known as ''VICTORY FORT''. ''World Largest Canon on Wheels'' - the ''Jaivana'' is situated here. Fort consists of complexes like Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Vilar Mandir and Aram Mandir. Swords, Shields, Guns, Muskets and 50 Kg Cannonball that is displayed in ''Armoury Chamber''. There is a Museum inside this Jaigarh Fort where photographs of Royal Kings, Stamps and many Ancient things are in display for the public. 

Situated in the mid of ''Maan Sagar Lake'', ''THE JAI MAHAL'' is a Water Palace. This Palace is not open for any visitors. It is open only for Delegates. Around 180 species of birds are found in Maan Sagar Lake. 

ALBERT HALL MUSEUM is an oldest museum in the state of Rajasthan. This museum is located in Ram Niwas Garden. Museum consists of Indian and Saracenic Architecture. Also known as ''GOVERNMENT CENTRAL MUSEUM'', the Albert Museum was opened for public in 1887 and was designed by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. Buddhist Mural, Jain Tirthankar, Brahma Statue, Lakshminarayanan Statue are seen here along with many Artifacts and Porcelain.

JAIPUR ZOO is one of the major tourist spots. More than 550 animals of around 50 species of Mammals, Birds and Reptiles are found here. In Mammals Section, Carnivorous, Omnivorous and Herbivorous are found. Lion, Bengal Tiger, White Tiger, Panther, Leopard, Fox, Jackal, Hyena, Wolf and Indian Civet are the Carnivorous Animals of this Zoo. The Omnivorous animals of this Zoo are Monkey, Baboon, Black Bear, Himalayan Bear and Wild Boar and Herbivorous Animals seen here are Black Buck, Sambar Deer, Chital Deer, Chinkara, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Indian Porcupine and Rabbit. In Birds Section, Peacock, Love Bird, Pelican, Emu, Owl, Duck, Parrot, White Ibis, Teetar, Guinea Hen, Pink Flamingo, Vulture, Crane, Pheasant, Cockatoo, Painted Stork, White stork, Goose and Budgerigar are enjoying their stay here. ''Reptile Section'' is the another interesting section of this Zoo where Indian Python, Eunectes Notaeus, Ghariyal, Crocodile, Turtle and Tortoise are found. For Ghariyal, Cheetal and Crocodile, this Zoo is a Breeding Centre of the Central Zoo Authority of India. 

WAX MUSEUM is open for visitors every day from 10.00 AM to 6.30 PM. Sheesh Mahal, Royal Darbar and Hall of Icons are the three sections of this Pink City Wax Museum. 

GOVIND DEV JI is a Vaisnava Temple located in this city. Main deity of this Temple is Lord Krishna. Every day 7 Aartis takes places in Govind Dev Ji Temple namely ''Mangla Aarti'' at 4.30 AM, ''Dhoop Aarti'' at 7.45 AM, ''Shringar Aarti'' at 10.15 AM, ''Rajbhog Aarti'' at 11.30 AM, ''Gwal Aarti'' at 5. 30 PM, ''Sandhya Aarti'' at 6.30 PM and ''Shayan Aarti'' at 8.15 PM. 

LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE also known as BIRLA MANDIR is a marvelous religious place where thousands of devotees visit every day. 

NAHARGARH FORT  is located at the edge of Aravalli Hills. Nahargarh means ''Abode of Tigers''. Earlier, it was known as SUDARSHANGARH FORT. Nahargarh was built in the year 1734 by Maharaj Sawai Jai Singh II to defend his city getting attacked by his enemies. From this place, visitors get the chance to see the beautiful aerial view of the Pink City. 

RAMBAGH PALACE is an another place to visit in this historical city. The beauty of the architectural style forces us to spend more time inside the complex. Earlier, this place was the residence of the Jaipur Maharaj. In the year 1835, the Garden House was the first building built here exclusively for the Prince Ram Singh II. Later in the year 1887, garden house was converted to a Royal Hunting House by Maharaj Sawai Madho Singh. 

DOLL MUSEUM is one of the must visit for visitors of all ages. More than 600 dolls are kept for display inside the air conditioned complex in two different parts namely The Old Dolls and The New Dolls. Dolls displayed here are collected from all parts of the world. 

SHREE SANJAY SHARMA MUSEUM AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE is located on the Amer Road. Collections like Painting, Textile, Manuscript, Cut Work, Ink Pot & Pens, Book Cover, Book Stand, Astronomy, Royal Letters, Mandal, Old Photo, Paper Industry, Observatory, Lamps, Coins Games, Terracotta, Wooden Artifacts, Stone Colors, Tantra, Locks, Ancient Paper and Weapons are seen inside this museum. 

THE ALICE GARG NATIONAL MUSEUM was started by K B Garg, a Physicist. He started this to showcase his personal collections of over 3000 Sea Shells. 

KANAK VRINDAVAN is a Huge Garden and is one of the main tourist attractions in this pink city. Kanak Vrindavan is around 275 years old and it is fully surrounded by Green Valley's and Aravalli Hills. Earlier, this place was an entertainment as well as a recreation complex for the King and the Queen. Statues of Lord Krishna & Gopis are can be seen here. Vrindavan is filled with Unique Trees and Lawns. 

ANOKHI MUSEUM OF HAND PRINTING is one of the must visit destinations. It was started with an intention to promote the Innovative Designs that were created by talented creators. It showcases various traditional outfits worn in respective regions. Galleries inside includes Haveli Restoration, Regional Textiles, Natural Dyes, Chemical Dyes, Block Printing, Carving Tools, Demonstration Area, Gold Printing and Silver Printing. 

RAM NIWAS GARDEN, a Historical Garden was built in the year 1868 by Maharaj Sawai Ram Singh. Attractions inside are Bird Park, Zoo, Ravindra Rang Manch Theatre, Art Gallery, Exhibition Ground, Gymnasium and Cafes. 

THE CENTRAL PARK is one of the Greenish Place filled with Trees. Attractions inside are Rambagh Polo Ground and a Club. Every day this place is filled with Joggers and Walkers in the morning and evening. There is an exclusive 5 kilometer track to facilitate walkers and joggers. It is a Paradise for Bird Watchers as thousands of birds migrate from all around the world. Tallest Indian National Flag is situated here. 

NAHARGARH BIOLOGICAL PARK AND ZOO is a 720 hectares home of over 285 species of birds, Asiatic Lions, Bengal Tigers, Panthers, Hyenas, Wolves, Deer, Crocodiles, Sloth Bear and  Himalayan Black Bear. It is well known for its Flora & Fauna. 

CHAND BAORI is a Traditional Step Well which was used to store water for the public to take bath. Chand Baori was constructed in the year 800 AD by Kind Chandra and it consists of around 3,500 narrow steps. Extending up to 100 feet inside the ground, the Chand Baori is the Deepest Step Wells in India as well as Largest Step Wells in India. 

JAIN MANDIR is located in Sanganer and this mandir is dedicated to Lord Adinath, also, referred as Lord Rishabh Dev. Jain Mandir was built using red sand stones and this place is considered as one of the Holiest Temples of the Jains in India. There are many floors under the ground inside this Jain Temple, but it is currently closed for visitors. 

MOTI DUNGRI GANESH MANDIR was constructed in the year 1761. In local language Moti means ''Pearl'' and Dungri means ''Small Hill'', hence, this mandir is referred as Small Pearl Hill. Moti Mandir spreads across around 2 kilometers of public land. It is well known for this architectural beauties. 

Few Interesting Facts about Jaipur: 

The other name ''Pink City'' is associated with Hospitality. In 1876, when Edward who was the Prince of Wales visited this city, to welcome him Maharaja Ram Singh painted Forts, Shops and all other constructions with Pink paint. Most of the building constructions found here follows Indian Vastu Shastra. Tourist place ''Jantar Mantar'' situated here is one of the World Heritage Sites. Rajasthani women wear very bright attires or their traditional long skirts and blouses known as ''Ghaghra Choli''. Most of the men are found with colorful turbans which is an unique part of Rajasthani culture. This city is known for its cultural dance and music. The "Sawai Mansingh Stadium" located here has the seating capacity of more than 20,000 people. This stadium was constructed during Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II period. Many National as well as International cricket matches are held here. 

''Sambhar'', the Largest Saline Lake in India is situated at 60 Kilometers distance. The Royal Cremation place of Jaipur rulers is in Gaitore which is situated at 15 Kilometers distance. During his tenure Maharaja Jai Singh II constructed 5 astronomical observatories between 1727 and 1734. Government of Rajasthan provides free WiFi in many public places like Jantar Mantar, Central Park, etc. Government is also offering one Email Id in English or Hindi for every citizen. Locals claims that ''The Biggest Circular Park in Asia'' the ''Jawahar Circle'' is located here. Metro construction here took four and half years for completion which is the record time for constructing a metro. Hence, it is the fastest built metros in India. Even though the official language here is Rajasthani, majority of the people speaks Marwadi and Hadauti.
