HUMAYUN'S TOMB, an iconic monument, is the final resting place of Humayun who was a Mughal Emperor. It is located in Nizamuddin and it is the 1st Garden Tomb in India. It is situated on the banks of River Yamuna, in the middle of a huge garden and is made of red sandstone.It is a splendid piece of Mughal architecture with Persian influences and a never to miss site in Delhi. HAUZ KHAS VILLAGE is a wealthy and a posh locality in Delhi since ages. In English Hauz Khas means "Royal Lake". It is a Reservoir surrounded by beautiful buildings and park. This place is popularly known as LUNGS OF DELHI. Major attraction inside is the Deer Park which attracts hundreds of visitors during every weekends. This Park is divided in to four major wings namely Rose Garden, Old Monument & Hauz Khas Market, Deer Park and Fountain & District Park. Park is open from 5 in the morning till 7 in the evening. Also there are Pubs, Cafes and Restaurants inside the complex.

RED FORT is one of the major tourist attractions and it is located near Chandini Chowk Metro Station. Ideal time to visit is between the months of September and March as the weather during these period would be pleasant. It was built in the year 1939 by Shah Jahan. Every year on the day of Independence, Indian Prime Minister unfurls the National Flag here. Red Fort is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are several structures inside the fort. The important structures are "Diwan i Aam", "the Diwan i Khaas", "the Moti Masjid" and "the Nahr i Bashisht". Other major attractions inside is the Light and the Sound Show that is held every evening other than Mondays. Attending the show is the best way to learn about the history of the fort.

QUTUB MINAR an UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is located at Mehrauli. It was built by the first ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, 'Qutb Ud Din Aibak' in the year 1192. It stands at an elevation of 240 feet with a diameter of 14.3 meters at the base and 2.7 meters at the top. There are 379 stairs inside the minar. Its a five storey building and it is built with marble and red sandstone. It consists of various historical structures namely Quwwat Ul Islam Mosque, Alai Darwaza, Iron Pillar and Alai Minar. Qutub Festival held every year between November and December for three days which includes cultural shows and art forms. 

INDIA GATE also known as THE ALL INDIA WAR MEMORIAL, is dedicated to around 82,000 Indian as well as British Soldiers who died during the First World War. This 3,60,000 meters square monument was inaugurated on 12th February in the year 1931 by Lord Irwin who was India's Viceroy then. Amar Jawan Jyoti or Flame of the Immortal Soldier is located below the India Gate. Round the clock fire will be burning in this small shrine structure that is made of black marble. There are many street shops located around this monument. Also, there is a Children's Park for the kids to have fun. India Gate is the best place to visit to know about World War I.      

DELHI ZOO also referred as as NATIONAL ZOOLOGICAL PARK was inaugurated in the year 1959. It is a home for more than 1347 animals and around 130 species. There is a separate canteen inside the zoological park and battery operated vehicles are available to roam around the complex at nominal cost. Zoo is open between 9.30 AM and 4.30 PM on all days other than Fridays and National Holidays.

CHANDNI CHOWK is an Oldest Market that was constructed during the 17th century and it is located opposite the Red Fort. This place is popularly referred as "Shoppers Paradise". There are several streets here and all are very narrow full of shops where one can purchase all sort of items. Major items include Clothes, Perfumes, Electronic items, Jewellery, Candles, Idols of Deities and lifestyle Goods. Also located are Eateries, Street Food and Indian Snacks. Major Markets in Chandini Chowk are "Nai Sadak" mainly known for books and stationery items, "Dariba Kalan" mainly known for Silver & Gold items, "Chawri Bazar" mainly known for Wedding cards & other paper products, "Kinari Bazar" well known for wedding shopping, "Bhagirath Palace" known for Electrical & Electronic items and "Ballimaran Market" known for shoes.

LOTUS TEMPLE a must visit place, is World's one of the seven Baha'i House of Worship. As we enter the complex, a beautiful garden and scintillating pools welcomes us. Architecture style is marvelous here and we can experience a new way of meditation here. Entire temple is built with Greek White Marble and the shape of the monuments resembles the shape of Lotus Flower as it is common to all religions. This place is spread across over 26 acres of land. A short film is showcased in this complex every 20 minutes briefing the four main activities that takes place here like Children's classes, Junior Youth classes, Devotional Meetings and Study Circles. These activities are aimed at imbibing values among kids and to develop spiritual feeling in them & at celebrating unity and diversity of mankind. Evenings are the best time to visit this temple and is located near Nehru Place Metro Station.

AKSHARDHAM MANDIR was opened in the year 2005. Entire construction was built based on the principles of Maharishi Vastu Architecture. It is one of the largest temples and the height of Mandovar is 25 feet and 611 meter long. Mandovar consists of around 230 carved pillars. The Gajendra Peeth inside the temple contains 148 life sized elephants weighing around 3000 tons. Narayan Peeth is a 60 feet long bronze panels. Musical Fountain / The Water Show starts every day at 7.30 PM. It is located near Akshardham Metro Station and the best time to visit the temple is by around 3 in the evening. 

JANTAR MANTAR, located in the Parliament Street is a Vast Observatory to learn about Space. It was built in the year 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh. Some of the instruments includes Samrat Yantra, Jaya Prakash and Misra Yantra. Observatory is open for public from 9 AM to 7 PM.

JAMA MASJID also known as The MASJID I JAHAN NUMA is a Mosque that is well known for its architectural beauty. It is located near Chandni Chowk and the masjid is surrounded by beautiful structures that belongs to Mughal period. Nearest metro station to reach this place is Jama Masjid Station.

RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN, located in the Western end of Rajpath is the Official Residence of  the Indian President. This prestigious complex spreads across 330 acres of land and it is one of the Largest Residences of Head of the State in the entire world. 4 Floors Main Building consists of 340 room with a massive area of around  2,00,000 square feet. In the main building there are Drawing Room, Ball Room, Library, Dining Room along with Private Apartments. This place is open only on specific days for the public to visit. Circuit 1 is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Circuit 2 is open on all days other than Monday and Circuit 3 is open from August to March on all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On these days one can visit from 9 AM to 4 PM. "Barakhamba Road" is the nearest Metro Station to reach this place. 

CONNAUGHT PLACE, popularly known as CP is a Commercial as well as Financial Centre. One of the Largest National Flags can be seen in this places. This shopping paradise is divided in to Inner and Outer Circles. Janpath and Paalika Bazar are the two main markets in CP. There are several restaurants and bars in this area. "Rajiv Chowk" is the nearest Metro Station.   

NEHRU PLANETARIUM is located inside Teen Murti Bhawan. Several innovative programmes takes places here regularly. Events are very useful for School & College Students and Astronomers. Astronomy Quiz takes place during the month of February and August. "Race Course" is the nearest Metro Station and ideal time to visit is between the month of October and March.

ISKCON TEMPLE is also known as HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA TEMPLE.  The temple dedicated to Lord Krishna is open to public from 4.30 in the morning till 9 in the evening. The shrines of Radha-Krishna, Sita- Ram and Guara- Nitai are found here. There are lots to do & learn from activities inside this place like Museum of Vedic Cultures, Ramayana Art gallery, Bhagavadgita Animatronics Robot and open air theatre for performing arts. There is also a restaurant inside this premises. Janmashtami takes place in a grand scale here. Nehru Place station and Kailash Colony Station are the nearest Metro stations to reach this place.

LODHI GARDEN is a huge garden that contains the tombs of Lodhi King Sikandar Lodhi and Sayyid ruler Mohammed Shah. This place is currently maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. It is a famous picnic spot as well a learning centre of historic knowledge. Best time to visit here is in the evening from October - March. Jor Bagh Metro station and JLN Metro station are the nearest stations to reach out to this place.

MEHRAULI ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK is spread over a 200 acres of land area. It shows the richness of our past and the great work of craftsmen, builders, architects, masons and engineers of the then India. Structures inside this place includes Lal Kot and Rai Pithora, Balban's tomb, Rajon Ki Baoli, Quli Khan's tomb and Jamali Khan Masjid & Tomb. Qutub Metro station and the Saket Metro are the nearest stations to reach this place.

NIZAMUDDIN DARGAH is a mausoleum of Muslim Sufi Saint Nizamuddin Chisti, built of red stone and white marbles. Built in the year 1526, free community kitchen is held here every Thursdays and Sundays for the devotees with only vegetarian food. Plenty of buses are available from Sarai Kale Khan depot and Pragati Maidan & Indraprastha are the nearest Metro stations to reach this place.

NATIONAL GALLERY OF MODERN ARTS  is a heaven for art lovers. Established by Government of India in 1954, this place preserves paintings and artistic pieces upto 19th century. It has more than 14000 unique art collections of various artists. Central Secretariat is the nearest Metro station to reach here.

BANGLA SAHIB GURUDWARA, earlier known as Jaisinghpura Palace, is a religious place of Sikhs.This place attracts thousands of visitors for its serenity and is open all 24 hours.The complex includes a main prayer hall, a higher secondary school, a hospital , museum and a library. It is located in Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi and easily accessible. 

RAJGHAT, is the final resting place of the Father of Our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is located close to River Yamuna and contains a simple black marble structure above the ground with the words "Hey Ram", last words of Mahatma. The premises consists of a museum, gallery showcasing Gandhiji's personal belongings and other exhibits. New Delhi Metro Station is the nearest metro station.

RAJPATH is a Ceremonial Avenue and it means the "King's Way". The King's Way runs from the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the Raisina Hill till National Stadium.
