GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE is a suspension bridge that is connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Total length of this suspension bridge is 8,981 Feet. The Width and Height of this bridge are 90 Feet and 746 Feet respectively. Construction of Golden Gate Bridge started on 5th January 1933 and ended on 19th April 1937. Since this Bridge was opened in the year 1937, it has lost around 7,500 tons of its weight. Between 5,000 and 10,000 gallons of paint are used to repaint this suspension bridge every year. Many colors were proposed like Carbon Grey, Aluminium and Black, infact U S Navy suggested to paint Black with Yellow stripes. In the end, Irving Morrow who was responsible for the design Art Deco look, went with International Orange since this color would be visible in fog. Till date, this is the Highest Photographed Bridges in the World. 

GOLDEN GATE PARK that spreads across 1,017 Acres of land, is an Urban Park. This park attracts around 13 million visitors every year. In United States, this Golden Gate Park is the 5th most visited city park. ''The Music Concourse Area'' of this park is surrounded by cultural attractions like De Young Museum, Academy of Sciences and Japanese Tea Garden. De Young Museum was opened for visitors in 1921. This museum contains American Art, Modern Art, African Art, Textiles and Sculptures. In the year 1853, The California Academy of Sciences was founded. With over 1.7 million native California Plants, this academy spread across 2.5 Acres. 

THE JAPANESE TEA GARDEN here is the Oldest Japanese Public Garden in the United States. ''The Structures and Buildings'' includes Conservatory of Flowers, Special Exhibits Room, Potted Plants Gallery like Lowlands Gallery & Highlands Gallery, Aquatics Gallery, Beach Chalet, Windmills, Statues and Carousel. 

ALCATRAZ ISLAND was once a military prison during 1868 and was a federal prison from the year 1934 to 1963. In 1986, Alcatraz Island was designated as a National Historic Landmark. Now, it is one of the major attractions in SF. We can reach this destination by Ferry. The official ferry provider to Alcatraz Island is the Alcatraz Cruises. Built in the year 1933, the Coit Tower spread across 1.7 Acres of public land. Brown Arthur Jr was the Architect of this tower and the architectural style of this tower helps us to know about the ''Art Deco'' style. 

CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES which began in the year 1853 is a Natural History Museum. There are more than 26 millions of specimens inside this museum and it is one among the Largest Museums of Natural History in the World. Science museum spreads across 4,00,000 Square Feet of area. 

PALACE OF FINE ARTS was initially constructed in the year 1915 and was rebuilt in the year 1965. It is a monumental building, constructed to exhibit art works. This Palace of Fine Arts includes the exhibits pertaining to Education, Liberal Arts, Manufactures, Varied Industries, Agriculture, Food Products, Transportation, Mines and Metallurgy. Galleries in The De Young museum includes American Art, International Contemporary Art, Textiles, Costumes, Art from the Americas, Art from the Pacific and Art from Africa. The American art consists of above 1000 paintings from 17th century, around 800 sculptures and more than 3000 decorative arts objects. More than 13,000 textiles and costumes from around the world are found in this De Young. In the Art Section, there are close to 1,400 stellar examples from Africa, Pacific and the Americas.

A Japanese Resident of San Francisco, invented ''The Chinese Fortune Cookie''. The creator of modern day fortune cookie is Makoto Hagiwara of SF. Until the Mexican - American War in the year 1848, this City was part of Mexico. The Only National Historic Landmark, which can Move, is the ''Cable Cars'' in San Francisco. The Largest and The Oldest ''Japantown'' is situated in SF. Monuments that pertains to 221 BC can be seen in ''The Asian Art Museum''. Philio Taylor Farnsworth invented the First Electric TV in SF in his working lab which was situated at 202 Green Street. Golden Gate Bridge color is called as International Orange. It took just fours years from 1933 to 1937 to build the Golden Gate Bridge. Bendy Straw in SF was invented by Joseph B Friedman in 1930's.
