From Coimbatore, you have the options to travel by Bus or Cab. Nearest Railway station is in Mettupalayam which is approximately 46 kilometres away from your holiday spot. Buses are available to Coonoor from Coimbatore as well as Mettupalayam. It is well connected by Road from Queen of Hills,Ooty, a must visit travel destination.

SIM'S PARK, an important sight seeing place is a Natural Park. Established in the year 1874, the Sim's Park is located around 5,840 feet above the sea level. The average minimum temperature around this picnic spot is around 5 degree celsius. Sim's Park spread across an area of around 12 hectares and it is the home for more than 1000 species of trees, herbs, shrubs and flowers. Visitors get the chance to enjoy the natural colorful beds, lawns and rockeries. Rare trees like Rudraksh a Bead Tree, Cinnamomum, Queensland Karry Pine, Ornamental Tree, Araucaria, Quercus, Phoenix, Magnolia, Pine, Turpentine, Tree Ferns and Camelia are found inside this green palace. More than 300 types of Rose Flowers are found in the well maintained Rose Garden. It is one of the best photographic location.

HIGH FIELD TEA ESTATE is one of the places that is worth seeing. WELLINGTON GOLF CLUB, also known as WELLINGTON GYMKHANA GOLF COURSE, is located on the Nilgiris Slopes. One of the best club for the golf lovers to have the fun filled holiday. Prior to availing the facilities that are available here, one may to become a member to get the access in full. There are cottages available inside for the visitors on rent.
TIGER HILL CEMETERY was used by Britishers as a burial site during the 19th century and now, is one of the famous tourist places. Most of the tombs found in this cemetery belongs to officers of East India Company and their family members.
LAMB'S ROCK, also known as ECHO ROCK, is situated on the Nilgiri Hill slopes. It is famous for its landscape, panorama and trekking adventures.
DOLPHIN'S NOSE, a popular tourist spot, is a View Point. It is located around 5,075 feet above the sea level and it is one of the best spot to get the spectacular view of the hill station. It is named so because the tip of the Peak resembles like the nose of a dolphin. The rock formation around this place is entirely unique in nature. On the left and right side of the Dolphin's Nose Peak, huge Ravines can be seen. Tea Plantations can be seen all over this place. From this point, one can get the beautiful view of the Catherine Falls.
CATHERINE FALLS, located at Kotagiri, is a Double Cascade Waterfall. The water falls from the distance of 250 feet and Catherine Falls is the Second Highest Falls in the Mountains of Nilgiri. Earlier, this spot was known as Geddhehaada Halla, means Foothills Dale River. It is one of the most visited falls and it is also one of the ideal spot to spend your vacation with family in this nature divine place. This nature gift destination is surrounded by Forest, Tea Plantations and Mettupalayam Plains which is a treat to watch. From Dolphin Nose, an another tourist destination spot, one can get the full view of Catherine Falls. Trekking is allowed only after obtaining prior permission from the District Forest Officer. Right after the monsoons, that is, between October and May, is the best time to visit.

KATARY FALLS is the Third Largest Waterfall in the district of Nilgiris. The most thrilling part is the one can reach the place only by trekking. The water falls from a distance of 180 feet in Katary. The First Hyde Power Plant is India, the Kateri Hydro Electric System is located here.
DROOG FORT, is around 15 Kms away from Coonoor. History says, Tiger of Mysore, the great Tipu Sultan used this fort as an outpost. But sadly, only one wall remains currently.
